Requesting Information

On our website, you can request information about Upstairs and the various options for purchasing Upstairs products or those of affiliated companies. You can use our contact form for this purpose. We ask for your name, postal code, telephone number, and email address. Providing your postal code helps us sort and cluster certain contact requests. We will send you an email confirming your request for information, after which we will contact you by phone to assist you in the best way possible. We may send you product-related information a few times by post, as we have a legitimate interest in doing so.

To improve our service, we or third parties engaged by us may contact you by email or phone to ask whether you would like to participate in a survey or research. Participation is not mandatory. After completing the contact form, we will delete your data within 12 months at the latest. You can always object to this, after which we will no longer contact you.

Newsletter

You can choose to receive exclusive offers and newsletters by email. To send you these newsletters, we ask for your email address. If you have chosen to receive these offers from Upstairs, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in each email or by sending an email stating this to info@upstairs.com. Stair Renovation

If you indicate interest in a stair renovation by Upstairs, we ask for your name, address details, phone number, and email address, provided you have not already submitted these via our contact form. These details are needed to discuss options at your home, provide tailored advice, and deliver an appropriate quotation. If you place an order for a stair renovation, we will keep you informed about your order status and other information regarding the upcoming stair renovation via email. In connection with our warranty, we will retain necessary customer data for the 10-year warranty period after your staircase has been installed.

Reviews and Testimonials

After having your staircase renovated by Upstairs, we may invite you to provide a review of our services and products. If you submit a review, we ask for your email address to prevent fraud. Your email address will not be displayed on the website or used for other purposes. We retain your email address indefinitely.

Submitting a review is optional. If you choose to submit a review, you can consent to showing your first and last name alongside the review. Alternatively, you can post the review anonymously or share it internally for analysis. We highly value your opinion and may display it on our website, Google, or Facebook to help others make an informed choice and to optimize our services. We do not share your email address with third parties.

Working at Upstairs

You can apply for open positions at Upstairs or one of our sister companies—Van Dijk Staircase Solutions, Steyl Montage B.V., and Stairmaker—through designated forms on our website. The details you provide will only be used for recruitment and selection purposes to determine your suitability for the position. You must provide your first and last name, phone number, email address, and upload your CV. You can also attach a cover letter or leave comments. After the recruitment process, your data will be deleted within four weeks unless you consent to us retaining your data for up to one year.

Telephone Customer Service

When contacting our customer service by phone, we may record details of the contact, such as remarks, questions, or complaints, to assist you further in the future. Your phone conversations with customer service may also be recorded. You will be informed of this at the beginning of the call. Recordings are used for training purposes and as evidence of agreements made. Calls are deleted once they are no longer needed.
