It is possible to have a banister or balustrade in the same colour as the finish. You can also choose stainless steel or blue steel, and for staircases from our Stoer Chique Collection, you can even opt for a leather banister.

In this case, the handrail will be delivered later, at the same time as the balustrade, so that they match perfectly. Please allow for a delivery time of approximately 6 weeks.

Yes! As soon as the fitters have finished and the renovation is complete, you can start using your stairs straight away.

On average, a staircase renovation takes one day, depending on the size and complexity of the staircase. You won’t be able to use the staircase whilst the work is being carried out, so please bear this in mind when planning your schedule. Do you have an upper floor? If so, make sure you have everything you need (such as your phone, laptop or a cup of coffee) ready downstairs or upstairs.

When fitting the new stair treads, the tread is first measured again and then cut to size. Our fitters carry out this work outdoors under a special Upstairs tent, so that they stay dry in case of rain.

Our tradespeople usually arrive between 7.30 am and 8.30 am, depending on traffic and weather conditions. We ask that you are present when they arrive so that we can go over the job with you and answer any questions you may have.

To ensure the installation goes smoothly, there are a few preparations you can make, such as finishing any painting work, removing any carpeting, making sure the area around the staircase is clear so that the fitters can access it easily, and keeping a parking space free in front of the door (preferably two spaces to accommodate the installation van).
